Product Description

Allen-Bradley 1794-ASB is a remote I/O adapter module in Rockwell Automation's Flex I/O series, designed for distributed industrial control systems. It connects Flex I/O modules to main controllers such as ControlLogix or SLC 500 via DeviceNet network, enabling bidirectional data transmission. As the communication hub of the Flex I/O system, this module supports expansion of up to 16 Flex I/O modules and realizes high-speed data exchange through DeviceNet protocol. It is suitable for industrial scenarios requiring distributed I/O points, such as decentralized control of production lines and remote equipment monitoring, effectively reducing wiring costs and improving system flexibility.

Notes

  • Communication cables must use DeviceNet dedicated shielded twisted-pair wires, with shield layer grounded at one end (control cabinet side); cable cross-sectional area ≥0.5mm² to ensure power transmission and anti-interference capability.
  • Total current of Flex I/O modules must not exceed 1.5A (24V DC); use an external independent power supply when exceeding to prevent 1794-ASB overload protection triggering.
