The SIEMENS PXC100.D is a modular programmable controller from the PXC series, designed for building automation and industrial control systems. It serves as part of the APOGEE Automation System, offering flexible I/O expansion, advanced control algorithms, and multi-protocol communication (Ethernet TCP/IP, BACnet/IP, RS-485). Unlike compact PXC models (e.g., PXC16/24), the PXC100.D does not have built-in I/O points but supports extensive expansion via TX-I/O modules, enabling configurations of up to 500 physical points across 64 modules.

   • Supports two expansion methods:

     • "Self-Organized" Bus: Direct connection to TX-I/O modules (up to 64 modules/500 points)8.

     • "Extended" Bus: Uses PXX.485.3 expansion modules to add three FLN (Floor-Level Network) buses, each supporting additional TX-I/O modules.

   • TX-I/O technology allows software-configurable signal types (0–10V, 4–20mA, RTD, thermistors, digital I/O).

2. High-Performance Processing

   • 133 MHz PowerPC® MPC885 processor with 72 MB memory (for program execution and data storage).

   • Adaptive Control Algorithm (MFA): Self-learning PID logic for HVAC systems, reducing energy consumption and equipment wear.

     • Ethernet TCP/IP (10/100 Mbps) for BACnet/IP or APOGEE P2 protocols.
