The SIEMENS 3RN1012-1CB00 is a thermistor-based motor protection relay designed to directly monitor motor winding temperature via PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) sensors. It provides overheating protection for motors in industrial applications where conventional current-based protection (e.g., circuit breakers) may fail, such as variable-speed drives, frequent starts/stops, or poor cooling conditions.
