Advantages & Features
- Three-pole simultaneous switching — breaks all three phases together, suitable for 3-phase loads and balanced 3-phase distribution.
- Dual breaking rating — 6 kA to IEC 60898-1 and 10 kA to IEC 60947-2, covering both building distribution and industrial panel duty.
- C-curve tripping — 5–10 In magnetic trip suits general 3-phase loads with moderate inrush (distribution boards, small 3-phase motors, heaters, UPS).
- VisiSafe — terminal shutters and visible load-side isolation improve wiring and maintenance safety.
- Visitrip — clear trip indication identifies the faulty circuit at a glance.
- Modular Acti9 ecosystem — plug in OF/SD auxiliary contacts, shunt trips and Vigi RCBO attachments without tools.
- Industrial isolation rating — certified as a disconnection device per IEC/EN 60947-2.
- Compact 54 mm width — three modules on DIN rail, maximizes circuits per panel.
- Global availability — part of Schneider's flagship Acti9 line with long-term support and worldwide certification.
Typical Applications
- Three-phase feeder and branch-circuit protection in distribution boards
- Small 3-phase motors, pumps, fans and compressors (with overload coordination)
- 3-phase UPS, battery-charger and transformer secondary protection
- HVAC, refrigeration and building-services distribution
- Industrial control panels, MCCs and automation cabinets
- OEM machine builders using Acti9 / Prisma E / Set enclosures
- Commercial, industrial and infrastructure electrical installations
Notes / Considerations
- C-curve is not for direct-on-line motor starting — for DOL motors, use a D-curve MCB or a dedicated motor-protective circuit breaker (GV2/GV3).
- Verify available fault current at the panel does not exceed the applicable breaking rating (6 kA per IEC 60898-1 at 400 V).
- For earth-leakage / shock protection, add a Vigi iC60 attachment or upstream RCCB — this MCB alone does not provide residual-current protection.
- Torque line/load conductors to the recommended value; do not exceed 25 mm² per terminal.
- Use only Schneider-approved Acti9 accessories; third-party add-ons may void the listing.
- Always de-energize upstream supply before working on the breaker; VisiSafe does not replace lockout/tagout.
- For DC circuits, confirm the DC voltage and pole arrangement against the datasheet — DC breaking is lower than AC and may require series-pole use.
- Coordinate with upstream breakers for selectivity; the 25 A C-curve should be backed by a higher-rated upstream device to maintain discrimination.
