Overview
FBM206 (Part No. P0916GQ) belongs to Foxboro I/A Series FBM200 fieldbus I/O series, a dedicated
8-channel isolated high-speed pulse counting input module for DCS flow, speed, rotation measurement. It collects pulse signals from turbine/vortex flowmeters, speed encoders, pulse proximity switches, converts pulse frequency/totalized flow into digital data, and communicates with redundant FCP/FCP280 controllers via 2Mbps redundant internal fieldbus.
Matching terminal base: RT0916 spring-clamp termination assembly, tool-free wiring design.

Receive pulse output from turbine, vortex, positive displacement flow meters; calculate instantaneous flow rate and accumulate total flow volume, support square root linear conversion matching flow algorithms.
- Rotational speed & equipment rotation monitoring
Connect to shaft encoders or pulse speed sensors of fans, pumps, compressors, turbines to real-time measure rotating speed, overspeed pre-alarm detection.
- Batch & material metering statistics
Accumulate pulse counts for raw material feeding, finished product output to realize batch production batching and metering record tracking.
- High anti-interference pulse filtering
Configurable digital filter suppresses contact bounce, electromagnetic interference from inverters and servo equipment to avoid false pulse counting.
- Full self-diagnosis & fault upload
Detect module communication failure, base loose connection, open circuit of field pulse lines, upload fault codes and channel abnormal status to DCS HMI for remote alarm and maintenance prompt.
- Redundant I/O high-reliability configuration
Two FBM206 modules can form redundant pulse acquisition pair for critical flow measurement loops, single module failure will not lose flow data.
