The A-B 1738-VHSC24M23 is an Allen-Bradley ArmorPOINT I/O Very High-Speed Counter Module, designed for high-frequency pulse and encoder counting. It is a 1-channel, 24 VDC counter module with M23 connectors. Rockwell lists it as discontinued effective December 31, 2025, with no planned Rockwell replacement.

Key Technical Specifications

The module can process encoder, pulse-generator and mechanical-switch signals, with counting rates up to 1 MHz depending on the selected configuration. It can also use count/rate information to activate its two embedded outputs very quickly.
