The HIMA CPU 01 is a high-performance safety CPU module designed for HIMA's HIMax safety systems, widely used in oil & gas, power plants, chemical processing, and industrial automation. It serves as the central processing unit for safety-critical applications, ensuring redundant and fault-tolerant operation with SIL 3 certification (IEC 61508) .
Dual 32-bit RISC processors with clock synchronization for redundancy .
512 KB RAM & 256 KB flash ROM for program and data storage .
Supports 32 user programs with real-time execution .
Redundancy handling for up to 3 additional CPU modules .
Safe Ethernet communication (SafeEthernet protocol) for secure data exchange .

Error Detection & Recovery:
Hardware self-test runs in every scan cycle (99.99% diagnostic coverage) .
If a fault is detected, the CPU enters ERROR STOP and attempts a restart .
If the fault persists, manual intervention via PADT (Programming and Diagnostic Tool) is required
